iCogX.Boost

The iCog.X Boost Trial is testing whether pairing brain stimulation with a structured cognitive training program can better protect thinking and memory in people at risk of dementia.

MenoStim

The MenoStim Trial is the first study to investigate whether brief, non-invasive brain stimulation can improve thinking, memory, and mood in women navigating the challenges of the menopause transition.

MenoCog

The MenoCog Trial is investigating whether creatine monohydrate - a safe, widely available nutritional supplement - can support brain health, cognition, and mood in postmenopausal women at elevated risk of dementia.

Project AI-ED

Project AI-ED is using artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop an algorithm that identifies older people at risk of a preventable emergency department presentation, enabling earlier intervention in the community.

Jiya Dementia Care

Jiya Dementia Care is independently evaluating an AI-powered tool designed to help aged care staff better understand and manage the complex behavioural and psychological symptoms experienced by people living with dementia.

Dementia Friends Unite

Dementia Friends Unite is a peer-supported, culturally responsive dementia education program co-designed with and for culturally and linguistically diverse communities, now being upscaled nationally in partnership with Dementia Australia.

Past Projects

Behind the Brainwaves

Behind the Brainwaves is a comprehensive study profiling the brain activity, cognition, and biology of healthy older adults and people with mild cognitive impairment to identify novel biomarkers that could help detect and predict early Alzheimer's disease.

SLT-MCI Trial

The MCI-SLT Trial was the first randomised controlled trial to test SaiLuoTong (SLT) - a compound Chinese herbal medicine combining standardised extracts of ginseng, ginkgo, and saffron - for cognitive function in older adults with mild cognitive impairment.

Cognition Support Trial

This was the first randomised controlled trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Cognition Support® - a herbal and nutritional supplement containing brahmi, ginkgo biloba, Panax ginseng, and alpha-lipoic acid — in older adults with subjective cognitive impairment.
